I could listen to My Favorite Highway forever and never get sick of it. Their music fits my every mood. I’m not sure how, but the same song can fit every emotion. I wish they had never broken up. Nothing could ever explain the feeling of seeing them live.
On a side note, I still don’t understand why they deleted everything as if the band had never existed.
I don’t know why his name changed to David Wazetar? I’ll always know him as David Cook though. And my favorite pictures of them are ones of me with them :). Ahah, because those were some of the best nights.

Mostly because I just finished a few weeks ago, and since then, I’ve waited for today. I rearranged the letters four or five or ten times. They had to be perfect. It all had to be perfect.
These words are my inspiration. These are the words I see when I get up in the morning, when I’m preparing for my day, and when I go to bed, when I am reflecting on what’s happened in the past eight or twelve or twenty-four hours.
When you think about it, choosing what words to give that kind of responsibility to is a big deal.
But these words were an easy choice. It’s simple. They sing what I need to remember. They sing what I want to speak, what I want to scream. They sing what I need to learn.
This isn’t just another trendy hipster Tumblr room decor. It’s not as pretty as those. There are no twinkle lights, no fancy handwriting. This is the product of me on the floor of my room with a ruler, a sharpie, some magazines, and How To Call a Bluff blasting from my stereo. This is my heart. This is my mind. This is my soul. These lovely conjunctions and phrases are ones I read multiple times a day. They’re my anthem. They’re my declaration.
They’re me.
I was going to put “It’s been a long year without you, and I can’t seem to go one day without thinking about you,” but it seems like that’s what everyone is doing. But the thing is, it’s true, and I can almost promise you that it’s true for every single person that’s posted it.
I didn’t really feel like it was over until a year ago today.
I still can’t believe it’s over.

One year ago today I said goodbye to my favorite band of all time, My Favorite Highway. I took a bus with 3 of my friends to Virginia to go to see their final 4 shows, and it changed my life. They are a band that will live in my heart forever.
I just wish they were still around.

so amber and i got there a little after 1ish maybe, maybe closer to 2 idk and we went to starbucks and ran into rachel and nicki, and we chatted by amber’s car until she left to get michelle for the interview with the cab and shit. so then we chilled outside jammin’ java and after a bit they left and then came back with anna from baltimore and literally we talked about mainly dinkleberg for 4 hours. and jackie and her friend carolyn joined us and we lurked on david soundchecking and just life was awesome.
Sounds like an amazing show, and now we know Faith Cook did the guest vocals on the Timepiece EP!

My Favorite Highway is one of those bands that saved me, and it breaks my heart that I will never have a new album by them to add to my iTunes collection.
